David Ortiz Juan (Mediterráneo) es un artista cuya práctica entrelaza la pintura, el video y la escritura. Su obra construye narrativas no lineales que transitan entre lo místico y lo mundano explorando cuestiones de permanencia, pertenencia y los límites de lo humano.
Es graduado por la ArtEZ University of the Arts de Arnhem, Países Bajos, y cursó una maestría en el Sandberg Instituut de Ámsterdam. Su trabajo se ha expuesto en Stedelijk Museum Breda, Fabra i Coats, Galería Luis Adelantado, Kunstraum Lakeside, Salón ACME, Centre del Carme, Medrar for Contemporary Art y Galerie Juliette Jongma, entre otros. Ha sido artista residente en Hangar, centro de producción e investigación artística, EART y la International Academy of Art Palestine. Ha recibido el Premio Bienal de Arte Ciudad de Amposta de 2020 y la Beca de Producción de Hangar.

David Ortiz Juan (Mediterranean) is an artist whose practice unfolds across painting, video, and writing. His work constructs non-linear narratives that move between the mystical and the mundane, exploring questions of permanence, belonging, and the limits of the human.
He is a graduate of ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnhem, the Netherlands, and completed a MA at the Sandberg Instituut in Amsterdam. His work has been exhibited at the Stedelijk Museum Breda, Fabra i Coats, Galería Luis Adelantado, Kunstraum Lakeside, Salón ACME, Centre del Carme, Medrar for Contemporary Art, and Galerie Juliette Jongma, among others. He has been an artist-in-residence at Hangar (a center for artistic production and research), EART, and the International Academy of Art Palestine. He received the 2020 City of Amposta Art Biennial Prize and the Hangar Production Grant.
